Datasets & Resources
CGD Laboratory facilitates access to extensive collections of model output and observational datasets. These products are very popular in the United States and internationally.
Output from the Community Earth System Model and its predecessors is available through these channels:
- The CESM Experiments webpage provides an extensive list of experiments, with links to publicly available output.
Observational data sets are used throughout CGD for model development and model evaluation.
- The Data Guide includes documentation and discussion of many of the most prominent observational data sets, used widely at NCAR and around the world.
- NCAR-CISL's Research Data Archive maintains an extensive collection of data sets to support atmospheric and geosciences research.
- NCAR's Digital Asset Services Hub is a collection of earth science data sets from NCAR, UCAR, UCP, and participating organizations.
Additional Data And Data Sets Resources
- CESM: Output data is available for Community Earth System Model (CESM) control runs performed to validate each X.0 upgrade.
- CDAS: Carbon Data-Model Assimilation.
- ESG: The Earth System Grid (ESG) integrates supercomputers with large-scale data and analysis servers located at numerous national labs and research centers to create a powerful environment for next generation earth system research.
- ARC Portal: NCAR's CISL Portal provides a customizable web interface to CISL high-end computing resources and information.
- VEMAP: The Vegetation Ecosystem Modeling and Analysis Project provides a central collection of geographic, vegetation, soil, and site files.
